وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُبَابِ، سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَقُولُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَيْنَ الْمُتَحَابُّونَ لِجَلاَلِي الْيَوْمَ أُظِلُّهُمْ فِي ظِلِّي يَوْمَ لاَ ظِلَّ إِلاَّ ظِلِّي ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abd ar-Rahmanibn Mamar from Abu'l-Hubab Said ibn Yasar that Abu Hurayra said, "TheMessenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,'Allah, the Blessed, the Exalted, will say on the Day of Rising,"Where are those who loved each other for My majesty? Today I willshade them in My shade on the day when there is no shade except Myshade." "' Translation Not Available

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَوْ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ سَبْعَةٌ يُظِلُّهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لاَ ظِلَّ إِلاَّ ظِلُّهُ إِمَامٌ عَادِلٌ وَشَابٌّ نَشَأَ فِي عِبَادَةِ اللَّهِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Khubayb ibn Abd ar-Rahman al-Ansari from Hafs ibn Asim that either Abu Said al-Khudri or AbuHurayra said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and granthim peace, said, 'There are seven whom Allah will shade in His shadeon the day on which there is no shade except His shade: a just imam, ayouth who grows up worshipping Allah, a man whose heart is attached tothe mosque when he leaves it until he returns to it, two men who loveeach other in Allah and meet for that and part for that, a man whoremembers Allah when he is alone and his eyes overflow with tears, aman who refuses the approaches of a noble, beautiful woman, saying "Ifear Allah," and a man who gives sadaqa and conceals it so that hisleft hand does not know what his right hand gives.' وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ الْعَبْدَ قَالَ لِجِبْرِيلَ قَدْ أَحْبَبْتُ فُلاَنًا فَأَحِبَّهُ ‏.‏ فَيُحِبُّهُ جِبْرِيلُ ثُمَّ يُنَادِي فِي أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَبَّ فُلاَنًا فَأَحِبُّوهُ ‏.‏ فَيُحِبُّهُ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ يُوضَعُ لَهُ الْقَبُولُ فِي الأَرْضِ ‏.‏ وَإِذَا أَبْغَضَ اللَّهُ الْعَبْدَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ لاَ أَحْسِبُهُ إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْبُغْضِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏

Yahya related to me from Malik from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih from hisfather from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah blesshim and grant him peace, said, "If Allah loves a slave, he says toJibril, 'I love so-and-so, so love him,' so Jibril loves him and thencalls out to the people of heaven, 'Allah loves so-and-so, so lovehim,' and the people of heaven love him, and then acceptance is placedin the Earth for him." When Allah is angry with a slave, Malik said,"I consider that he says the like of that about His anger." Translation Not Available

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلاَنِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ مَسْجِدَ دِمَشْقَ فَإِذَا فَتًى شَابٌّ بَرَّاقُ الثَّنَايَا وَإِذَا النَّاسُ مَعَهُ إِذَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِي شَىْءٍ أَسْنَدُوا إِلَيْهِ وَصَدَرُوا عَنْ قَوْلِهِ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ فَقِيلَ هَذَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ ‏.‏ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْغَدُ هَجَّرْتُ فَوَجَدْتُهُ قَدْ سَبَقَنِي بِالتَّهْجِيرِ وَوَجَدْتُهُ يُصَلِّي - قَالَ - فَانْتَظَرْتُهُ حَتَّى قَضَى صَلاَتَهُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ وَجْهِهِ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لأُحِبُّكَ لِلَّهِ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ آللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ آللَّهِ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ آللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ آللَّهِ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ آللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ آللَّهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ بِحُبْوَةِ رِدَائِي فَجَبَذَنِي إِلَيْهِ وَقَالَ أَبْشِرْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَجَبَتْ مَحَبَّتِي لِلْمُتَحَابِّينَ فِيَّ وَالْمُتَجَالِسِينَ فِيَّ وَالْمُتَزَاوِرِينَ فِيَّ وَالْمُتَبَاذِلِينَ فِيَّ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu Hazim ibn Dinar that Abu Idrisal-Khawlani said, "I entered the Damascus mosque and there was a youngman with a beautiful mouth and white teeth sitting with some people.When they disagreed about something, they referred it to him andproceeded from his statement. I inquired about him, and it was said,'This is Muadh ibn Jabal.' The next day I went to the noon-prayer, andI found that he had preceded me to the noon prayer and I found himpraying." Abu Idris continued, "I waited for him until he hadfinished the prayer. Then I came to him from in front of him andgreeted him and said, 'By Allah! I love you for Allah!' He said, 'ByAllah?' I said, 'By Allah.' He said, 'By Allah?' I said, 'By Allah.'He said, 'By Allah?' I said, 'By Allah.' " He continued, "Hetook me by the upper part of my cloak and pulled me to him and said,'Rejoice! I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him andgrant him peace, say, "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said, 'My loveis obliged for those who love each other in Me, and those who sit witheach other in Me, and those who visit each other in Me, and those whogive to each other generously in Me.' وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ الْقَصْدُ وَالْتُّؤَدَةُ وَحُسْنُ السَّمْتِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ خَمْسَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ ‏.‏

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Abdullahibn Abbas said, "Equanimity, gentleness, and good behaviour are onetwenty-fifth of prophecy." Translation Not Available
