حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، سَمِعَ عَمْرَو بْنَ حُرَيْثٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنَّ ‏"‏ الْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

‘Amrbin Huraith said: “I heard Sa’eed bin Zaid bin ‘Amr bin Nufailnarrating from the Prophet (PBUH) that: ‘Truffles are a type ofmannathat Allah sent down to the Children of Israel, and their wateris ahealing for eye (diseases).’” Translation Not Available

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَطَرٌ الْوَرَّاقُ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَذَكَرْنَا الْكَمْأَةَ فَقَالُوا هِيَ جُدَرِيُّ الأَرْضِ ‏.‏ فَنُمِيَ الْحَدِيثُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ الْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ وَالْعَجْوَةُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ مِنَ السَّمِّ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It wasnarrated that Abu Hurairah said: “We used to narrate from theMessenger of Allah (PBUH) and mention truffles, and they said: ‘(Itis)the smallpox of the earth.’ When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)was toldof what they were saying: he said: ‘Truffles are a type ofmanna, andthe Ajwah are from Paradise, and they are a healing frompoison.’” Translation Not Available

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُشْمَعِلُّ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَافِعَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْمُزَنِيَّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ ‏"‏ الْعَجْوَةُ وَالصَّخْرَةُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَفِظْتُ الصَّخْرَةَ مِنْ فِيهِ ‏.‏

Rafi’bin ‘Amr Al-Muzani said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)say: “Ajwah and the rock* are from Paradise.’” Translation Not Available

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ سَرْجٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّكْسَكِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُبَىٍّ ابْنَ أُمِّ حَرَامٍ، وَكَانَ، قَدْ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ ‏"‏ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالسَّنَى وَالسَّنُّوتِ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمَا شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ إِلاَّ السَّامَ ‏.‏ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا السَّامُ قَالَ ‏"‏ الْمَوْتُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ عَمْرٌو قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ السَّنُّوتُ الشِّبِتُّ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ آخَرُونَ بَلْ هُوَ الْعَسَلُ الَّذِي يَكُونُ فِي زِقَاقِ السَّمْنِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّاعِرِ هُمُ السَّمْنُ بِالسَّنُّوتِ لاَ أَلْسَ فِيهِمُ وَهُمْ يَمْنَعُونَ جَارَهُمْ أَنْ يُقَرَّدَا

Ibrahimbin Abu ‘Ablah said: “I heard Abu Ubayy bin Umm Haram, who hadprayed with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) facing both the Qiblah,saying: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: “You shoulduse senna and the Sannut, for in them there is healing for everydisease, except the Sam.” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah,what is the Sam?” He said: “Death.”(One of the narrators) ‘Amr said: “Ibn Abu ‘Ablah said: the ‘Sannut is dill.” Others said: “Rather, it is honey that is kept in a skin (i.e., receptacle) used for ghee.”* Translation Not Available

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُسَافِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ذُؤَادُ بْنُ عُلْبَةَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ هَجَّرَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَهَجَّرْتُ فَصَلَّيْتُ ثُمَّ جَلَسْتُ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَىَّ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ اشِكَمَتْ دَرْدْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ قُمْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّ فِي الصَّلاَةِ شِفَاءً ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْقَطَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ذُؤَادُ بْنُ عُلْبَةَ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ وَقَالَ فِيهِ اشِكَمَتْ دَرْدْ ‏.‏ يَعْنِي تَشْتَكِي بَطْنَكَ بِالْفَارِسِيَّةِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ لأَهْلِهِ فَاسْتَعْدَوْا عَلَيْهِ ‏.‏

It wasnarrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Prophet (PBUH) set out intheearly morning and I did likewise. I prayed, then I sat. TheProphet(PBUH) turned to me and said: ‘Do you have a stomach problem?’*Isaid: ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah.’ He said: ‘Get up and pray,for inprayer there is healing.’” Another chain with similar wording. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنِ الدَّوَاءِ الْخَبِيثِ ‏.‏ يَعْنِي السُّمَّ ‏.‏

It wasnarrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah (PBUH)forbade treating illness with foul things (Khabith), meaningpoison.”* Translation Not Available
