حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، أَنَّ رَافِعَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ، مَوْلَى الشِّفَاءِ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ نَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ لَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ أَنَّ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ لاَ تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ أَوْ تَصَاوِيرُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ شَكَّ إِسْحَاقُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيَّتَهُمَا قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ‏.‏

Malik related to me from Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Talha thatRafi ibn Ishaq, the mawla of ash-Shifa informed him that he andAbdullah ibn Abi Talha had gone to visit Abu Said al-Khudri while hewas ill. Abu Said said to them, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allahbless him and grant him peace, informed us, 'The angels do not enter ahouse which contains pictures or images.'
