وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ، أَكَلَ خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ بِهِمَا وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ ‏.‏

Yahya related to me from Malik from Damra ibn Said al-Mazini fromAban ibn Uthman that Uthman ibn Affan ate bread and meat, rinsed hismouth out, washed his hands and wiped his face with them, and thenprayed without doing wudu. Translation Not Available
