حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْمَدِينِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَنْ صَلَّى بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ عِشْرِينَ رَكْعَةً بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَأَبُو عُمَرَ حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي خَثْعَمٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَنْ صَلَّى سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ لَمْ يَتَكَلَّمْ بَيْنَهُنَّ بِسُوءٍ عُدِلَتْ لَهُ عِبَادَةَ اثْنَتَىْ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً " .

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ طَارِقٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ خَرَجَ نَفَرٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ إِلَى عُمَرَ فَلَمَّا قَدِمُوا عَلَيْهِ قَالَ لَهُمْ مِمَّنْ أَنْتُمْ قَالُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ . قَالَ فَبِإِذْنٍ جِئْتُمْ قَالُوا نَعَمْ . قَالَ فَسَأَلُوهُ عَنْ صَلاَةِ الرَّجُلِ فِي بَيْتِهِ . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ " أَمَّا صَلاَةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي بَيْتِهِ فَنُورٌ فَنَوِّرُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ " . حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَحْوَهُ .
It wasnarrated that ‘Asim bin ‘Amr said: “A group from the people of‘Iraq came to ‘Umar and when they came to him, he said to them:‘Whereare you from?’ They said: ‘From the inhabitants of‘Iraq.’ He said:‘Have you come with permission?’ They said:‘Yes.’ Then they asked himabout a man’s prayer in his house.‘Umar said: ‘I asked the Messengerof Allah (PBUH) and he said:“As for a man’s prayer in his house, it islight, so illuminateyour houses.’”” Another chain with similar wording. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " إِذَا قَضَى أَحَدُكُمْ صَلاَتَهُ فَلْيَجْعَلْ لِبَيْتِهِ مِنْهَا نَصِيبًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ جَاعِلٌ فِي بَيْتِهِ مِنْ صَلاَتِهِ خَيْرًا " .

‘Abdullah bin Sa’d said: “I asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH):‘Which is better prayer in my house or prayer in the mosque?’ Hesaid:‘Do you not see how close my house is to the mosque?’ Butpraying inmy house is dearer to me than praying in the mosque, apartfrom theprescribed prayers.’” Translation Not Available
