وَحَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ أَمَرَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أَنْ تَصْنَعَ، لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم طَعَامًا لِنَفْسِهِ خَاصَّةً ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَنِي إِلَيْهِ . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ وَقَالَ فِيهِ فَوَضَعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدَهُ وَسَمَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " ائْذَنْ لِعَشَرَةٍ " . فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ فَدَخَلُوا فَقَالَ " كُلُوا وَسَمُّوا اللَّهَ " . فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِثَمَانِينَ رَجُلاً . ثُمَّ أَكَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ وَأَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ وَتَرَكُوا سُؤْرًا .
Anas b. Malik reported: Abu Talha ordered Umm Sulaim to prepare a meal specially for Allah's Apostle (PBUH). He then sent me to him (to the Holy Prophet) ; the rest of the hadith is the same (but there is a slight variation of wording):" Allah's Messenger (PBUH) placed his hand and mentioned the name of Allah upon that, and then said: Admit ten men. He (Abu Talha) admitted them and they got in. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Eat while mentioning the name of Allah upon it (the meal). They ate until eighty persons had taken the food. Then Allah's Apostle (PBUH) had his meal and so the members of the household, and still they left some food." Translation Not Available

وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، . بِهَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ فِي طَعَامِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ فِيهِ فَقَامَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ عَلَى الْبَابِ حَتَّى أَتَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا كَانَ شَىْءٌ يَسِيرٌ . قَالَ " هَلُمَّهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَيَجْعَلُ فِيهِ الْبَرَكَةَ " .
Anas b. Malik reported this incident pertaining to the feast given by Abu Talha to Allah's Apostle (PBUH) with the addition of these words: " Abu Talha stood at the door (to welcome the honourable guest) until Allah's Messenger (may peacec be upon him) came there, He (Abu Talha) said to him: Allah's Messenger, the thing (we intend to offer you as a meal) is small in quantity. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Bring that, for Allah will soon bless it (and increase it). Translation Not Available

وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ، سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ رَأَى أَبُو طَلْحَةَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُضْطَجِعًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَتَقَلَّبُ ظَهْرًا لِبَطْنٍ فَأَتَى أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُضْطَجِعًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَتَقَلَّبُ ظَهْرًا لِبَطْنٍ وَأَظُنُّهُ جَائِعًا . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ وَقَالَ فِيهِ ثُمَّ أَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ وَأُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ وَأَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ وَفَضَلَتْ فَضْلَةٌ فَأَهْدَيْنَاهُ لِجِيرَانِنَا .
Anas b. Malik reported: Abu Talha saw Allah's Messenger (PBUH) lying down upon his belly in the mosque. He came to Umm Sulaim and said: I saw Allah's Messenger (PBUH) lying down upon the belly in the mosque, and I think he is hungry. The rest of the hadith is the same (but with the addition of these words) that Allah's messenger (PBUH) ate (the food) and so did Abu Talha, Umm Sulaim and Anas b. وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى التُّجِيبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ، أَنَّحَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ جِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمًا فَوَجَدْتُهُ جَالِسًا مَعَ أَصْحَابِهِ يُحَدِّثُهُمْ وَقَدْ عَصَّبَ بَطْنَهُ بِعِصَابَةٍ - قَالَ أُسَامَةُ وَأَنَا أَشُكُّ - عَلَى حَجَرٍ فَقُلْتُ لِبَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ لِمَ عَصَّبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَطْنَهُ فَقَالُوا مِنَ الْجُوعِ . فَذَهَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ وَهُوَ زَوْجُ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ بِنْتِ مِلْحَانَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَتَاهُ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَصَّبَ بَطْنَهُ بِعِصَابَةٍ فَسَأَلْتُ بَعْضَ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالُوا مِنَ الْجُوعِ . فَدَخَلَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ عَلَى أُمِّي فَقَالَ هَلْ مِنْ شَىْءٍ فَقَالَتْ نَعَمْ عِنْدِي كِسَرٌ مِنْ خُبْزٍ وَتَمَرَاتٌ فَإِنْ جَاءَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَحْدَهُ أَشْبَعْنَاهُ وَإِنْ جَاءَ آخَرُ مَعَهُ قَلَّ عَنْهُمْ . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ سَائِرَ الْحَدِيثِ بِقِصَّتِهِ .
Anas b. Malik reported: I visited Allah's Messenger (PBUH) one day and found him sitting in the company of his Companions and talking to them, and he had tied his belly with a bandage. Usama said: I am in doubt whether there was stone on that (his belly) or not. I asked some of his Companions why Allah's Messenger (PBUH) had bandaged his belly. They said: (He has done that to relieve) his hunger. I went to Abu Talha, the husband of Umm Sulaim, the daughter of Milhan, and said to him: Father, I saw Allah's Messenger (PBUH) having bandaged his belly. I asked some of his Companions (the reason of it) and they said that it was due to hunger. Abu Talha came to mv mother and said: Is there anything? She said: Yes, I have some pieces of bread with me and some dates. If Allah's Messenger (PBUH) comes to us alone we can feed him to his fill, but if someone comes along with him this would be insufficient for them. The rest of the hadith is the same.
