حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ فِي سَيْلِ مَهْزُورٍ وَمُذَيْنِبٍ " يُمْسَكُ حَتَّى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُرْسِلُ الأَعْلَى عَلَى الأَسْفَلِ " .
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibnMuhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazm that he heard that the Messenger of Allah,may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said about the flood-channelsof Mahzur and Mudhaynib (in Madina), "Dam them systematically, so thatthe water is diverted into each property in turn up to ankle level,starting upstream."
